Athletissima was held for the first time on July 8, 1977 at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Lausanne, at the instigation of former 800m runner Jacky Delapierre. Today this meeting belongs to the major events of Lausanne’s Summer season. In the meantime the organisation has settled in the Stade de la Pontaise, to the north of Lausanne. Since 2010, Athletissima is member of the Diamond League, gathering the most prestigious events.
Athletissima is not only an athletics meeting. It is also many various activities during the whole year as well as during the few days before the great event:
- a special training session for young athletics fans;
- a mini-stars relay for kids between 6 and 14;
- the opportunity to take part in the UBS Kids Cup;

In case of cancellation, the full ticket price will be refunded.
The organizer will ensure that all health protection measures are taken, according to the standards in force on the day of the event.

In case of symptoms, please stay at home. If you have any health issues, please contact us and we will reimburse your ticket.
How to get a COVID certificate?
You will find all the necessary information on the canton’s official site: www.vd.ch.
To access the stadium, you must present your ID card and your COVID certificate that complies with one of the following conditions:
A. You have been given a vaccine against COVID-19. Valid for one year from the administration of the last (2nd) dose of vaccine.
B. You have contracted SARS-CoV-2 and are considered cured. Validity: 6 months from the 11th day following confirmation of infection.
C. Show a negative result from one of the following COVID-19 tests
➡️SARS-CoV-2 rapid test (antigenic) according to the “diagnostic standard” carried out at most 48 hours before the start of the event. This can be done at a pharmacy and is free for everyone.
➡️PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 carried out at most 72 hours before the start of the event.
The rapid self-test is not accepted.
Unfortunately, if these conditions are not met, you will not be able to access the stadium.
The foodtrucks, bars and info point in the stadium will only accept the usual credit and debit cards and Twint (postcards not accepted). No cash payments will be possible.

Transport and Parking
The event ticket serves as a 2nd class public transport ticket on the day of the event for the Mobilis zones (11, 12, 16, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 50). This service is offered by Mobilis and Athletissima. From the train station, take bus no. 1 (get off at : Stade Olympique) or take bus no. 21 (get off at : Beau-Site).
The cost of parking in the parking lots Riponne is included in the cost of the event ticket, from 15h00 to 24h00, by presenting your event ticket and your parking ticket at the dedicated stand setup at the main entrance of the stadium. A parking voucher will be given to you to be validated at the parking machines of the respective parking lot.
From the parking lots Riponne, take the bus no. 1 (get off at : Stade Olympique) or take bus no. 21 (get off at : Beau-Site).
