Nothing less than spectacular.<\/p>\n<p>The Bernese athlete shaved 13 hundredths off her national record. She led from start to finish, beating Dutch star Nadine Visser (7.72). This loyal Athletissima competitor claimed her first major elite title in the process.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s one of Athletissima\u2019s favorites, and he\u2019s writing yet another legendary chapter:&nbsp;<strong>Jakob Ingebrigtsen<\/strong>&nbsp;won the 1500m title in Apeldoorn \u2014 just a \u201cwarm-up\u201d before Sunday\u2019s 3000m, where he\u2019ll aim for his third consecutive 1500m-3000m double at the European Indoors. Let\u2019s not forget, the Norwegian has been unbeaten at Athletissima since 2019\u2026<\/p>\n<p>For&nbsp;<strong>Simon Ehammer<\/strong>, everything remains possible after a very successful first day in the heptathlon. The Appenzell athlete, well-known to the Athletissima audience since his podium in the long jump last year, currently holds second place in the competition. With 3647 points, he\u2019s right behind Norwegian Sander Skotheim (3689). Ehammer could very well take the lead on Saturday, thanks to the pole vault and especially the 60m hurdles \u2014 two of his strongest events.<\/p>\n<p>Also tomorrow, the women\u2019s long jump final promises excitement, as&nbsp;<strong>Annik K\u00e4lin<\/strong>&nbsp;topped the qualifications with a magnificent 6.77m jump (tying the national record).
