With seven medals and five fourth place finishes, the national team came within touching distance of matching its record breaking performance from Rome in 2024. This impressive haul reflects the excellent health of athletics in Switzerland and highlights the success of the support programme developed by Athletissima.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No fewer than seven Athletissima ambassadors returned from England with medals, an unprecedented achievement. Audrey Werro claimed gold in the 800m, Angelica Moser triumphed in the pole vault, and Jason Joseph struck gold in the 110m hurdles. Simon Ehammer secured silver in the long jump, Timoth\u00e9 Mumenthaler earned bronze in the 200m, while L\u00e9onie Pointet and Ajla Del Ponte helped Switzerland\u2019s 4x100m relay team to a silver medal. Nor should we forget Ditaji Kambundji, who finished a courageous fourth in the 100m hurdles after returning from injury.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond the medals and titles, the unforgettable images and emotions from Birmingham are sure to inspire a new generation. Few sights in athletics are as captivating as Audrey Werro\u2019s stride, a remarkable blend of power, fluidity and grace that evokes the effortless brilliance of Marie-Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rec, whose achievements secured her a lasting place in the history of French and world athletics. At just 22 years old, Audrey Werro already looks destined to leave her own lasting legacy and inspire generations of young athletes to come.
