10e edition of the Mini-Stars Relay !

The 10th edition of the Mini-Stars Relay took place in Ouchy on Sunday, July 5, under a blazing sun. The gardens of the Olympic Museum – and their welcoming shadows – have been the setting for this relay race which is held each previous Sunday before Athletissima.

This year 100 different teams have raced against each other on a distance nearly corresponding to an Olympic Stadium.

The mini-athletes (and their parents) were divided into six team categories, according to the age and the sex; the only common point being the enthusiasm.

The whole afternoon one could hear in the Olympic Museum gardens the support and the screams of joy of all participants.

After the race, Jennifer Simpson (1500m), Murielle Ahouré (200m), Sanya Richards-Ross (400m), Kim Collins (100m), Wilson Kipketer (old world records at the 800 metres distance) willingly accepted the autograph signing session, which is always most appreciated.
