Blanka Vlasic injured !

Croatian athlete Blanka Vlasic, double high-jump world champion (2007 / 2009) and 2nd place at Beijing Olympics in 2008, won’t take part in the Athletissima meeting on Thursday. A pain in her right Achilles tendon is the reason. “I have to be very precocious “ she says. “I must avoid serious injuries before the Beijing World Championships in August.” Speaking of Athletissima, she adds: “I am very sad not to be part of this meeting, it means a lot to me. Athletissima is one of my favourites with a special atmosphere.” Blanka Vlasic has jumped 1.97m this season. Throughout her career, 31 year old Croatian athlete has jumped 164 times over 2m.
