Dream Schedule Following the Olympic Games

16 Diamond League events, three additional disciplines and as many world class clashes. Following the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (BRA), international and Swiss stars are awaited in the mythical Olympic Stadium La Pontaise in Lausanne.

International Superstars

As each year, world’s athletic stars will set foot on Lausanne’s ultra-fast track. In the 16 Diamond League events, the disillusioned from Rio will be seeking revenge on the champions and medalists.

A Program Built for the Best Swiss Athletes

With the adding of 3 additional disciplines, the pieces have been put together to welcome Switzerland’s finest present athletes. A men’s 400m hurdles, a women’s 100m hurdles and the traditional 4x100m women’s UBS Trophy relay, just before the final firework, have been added to the program.

A Promising 1000 m

This year in Lausanne, fans will be given the opportunity to see an exceptional event: a men’s 1000m. A few days after the Olympic finals in Rio, the best 800m and 1500m specialists will be fighting for the win in Lausanne, to crown the world’s number one middle distance runner.
