Audrey Werro, Superstar

Set to be one of the highlights of the evening, this race promises to bring the entire stadium to its feet. Athletissima ambassador Audrey Werro, the third fastest woman in history with 1:53.80, will take on world champion Lilian Odira (KEN) and, above all, Femke Broeders-Bol, who is embarking on a new chapter over the two lap distance.

The Dutch star, a multiple Olympic and World Championship medallist in the 400m hurdles, 400m and relays, was looking for a new challenge. She may have found one beyond her expectations in the 800m, where she will face Audrey Werro, who will be chasing her first victory in Lausanne, one year after winning the Diamond League Final in Zurich. The athlete from Fribourg, along with the Lausanne crowd, will undoubtedly have Jarmila Kratochvílová’s world record of 1:53.28 in the back of their minds.
