Lobalu to double the lead

Eight of the current world’s top ten 5,000m specialists are set to line up at Athletissima on August 31. Leading this exceptional field are Addisu Yihune (ETH) and Birhanu Balew (BRN).   It will be another great opportunity for Switzerland’s Dominic Lobalu to shine, just a few weeks after his superb sprint finish earned him victory in Monaco.
The Americans are also expected to be strong, led by Grant Fisher, a double bronze medallist at the Paris Olympics, and Parker Wolfe. As it stands, no athlete has yet secured their place in the Diamond League Final in this event.
