Sport is coming to the heart of Lausanne, Wednesday 2 September 2020, at the “Place de l’Europe”
Being up close to the action, speed and height, will add to a thrilling show.
The best pole vaulters will compete against each other in the city centre of Lausanne!
Two events will take place in parallel, at the Place de l’Europe, with a women’s and a men’s event.
The best of the world will be present:
The men’s event will feature
- the world record holder and Swedish prodigy, Armand “Mondo” Duplantis,
- the French and former world record holder, Renaud Lavillenie,
- the American, Sam Kendricks,
- the Pole, Piotr Lisek
- and the American, Cole Wash.
The women’s field will feature
- the American and indoor world champion, Sandi Morris,
- the Greek, Olympic and former world champion, Ekaterini Stefanidi,
- the Russian, Anzhelika Sidorova (depending on her ANA status),
- the Swedish, Angelica Bengtsson,
- the Canadian, Alysha Newman.
- and the two Swiss, Angelica Moser and Nicole Büchler will also be present.
