Hurdle Show With McLeod, Ortega, Clement and Tinsley

With one month to go until Athletissima’s 41st edition – Thursday the 25th of August – the world’s number one high hurdler Omar McLeod (JAM) has announced his presence in Lausanne. Only athletes under the 13 seconds (12"98) in 2016, he already won three Diamond League stages this year (Doha, Shanghai and Eugene) and will be one of the big favourites for the title in Rio.

He will be facing 2015’s world best performer (12"94) Orlando Ortega (ESP) and the three French stars in this event, Dimitri Bascou (European champion) Wilhelm Belocian (bronze medallist) and Pascal Martinot-Lagarde (French record holder/12"95) will complete a royal line-up.

Kariem Hussein against the bests  

Added in the schedule to the 16 Diamond League events, the 400 m hurdles will be one of the evening’s highlights. National hero Kariem Hussein will be facing the three American Olympians: the reigning American champion Kerron Clemont and the two medallists of the recent Olympic Trials Michael Tinsley (silver at the London Olympic Games) and the young Byron Robinson (21 years old)
