High jump: World's best performance for Olyslagers

A world's best performance of the year from the outset: the women's high jumpers lived up to their promise at Athletissima's City Event, which saw Australian Nicola Olyslagers win the event with 2.02m, equalling the Oceania record. The Olympic runner-up held off the Ukrainian quartet after a superb contest.

Great Promise in the Middle-Distance

Jakob Ingebrigtsen rarely disappoints. The Norwegian, who set a world-best performance last year in Lausanne, returns with high ambitions this Friday to compete in the 1500m at Athletissima, one of the highlights of the 6th stage of the Wanda Diamond League. The men's 5000m features all the current stars, the 400m hurdles showcases Femke Bol, the 100m hurdles includes Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, the shot-put highlights Ryan Crouser, the men's long distance showcases Miltiadis Tentoglou and Simon Ehammer, while the women's 100m and 800m events also look very promising.

City Event: Thiam's Return and a Ukrainian Quartet

For the first time, the women's high jump will be the highlight of the "City Event" at Athletissima on Thursday, 29th June. In this officially sanctioned "Wanda Diamond League" competition, five out of the six top performers of the season will showcase their skills in front of an expected large audience in the heart of Lausanne, at “la Place Centrale”,starting at 6 p.m.
