The women’s 200m is one of the standout events in athletics today, and Athletissima will be no exception. Lining up at Pontaise on August 21 will be Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson, the second fastest woman in history with 21.41 seconds, just 0.07 seconds shy of Florence Griffith-Joyner’s world record, the Bahamas’ Shaunae Miller-Uibo, 2022 world champion and 2016 Olympic champion over 400m, and Great Britain’s Amy Hunt, the world silver medallist.
Shaunae Miller-Uibo, who welcomed a son in 2023 and a daughter in 2025, has made an impressive return following maternity leave, seven years after setting her personal best of 21.74 seconds. Can she challenge two time world champion Shericka Jackson over the half lap, despite being a 400m specialist by trade?
