Jonas Raess achieved a great result at the World Indoor Tour meeting in New York. In 7'39''49, he broke the Swiss indoor record set by the legendary Markus Ryffel in 1979 by almost five seconds. Even better: he broke Ryffel's national outdoor record (7'41''05) to take 6th place in this very competitive race. Last year, Raess competed in the 3000 m at Athletissima (13th in 7'56'').
Another record, this time in Magglingen, Audrey Werro improved the Swiss U20 indoor record in the 800 m by almost two seconds, with a time of 2'03''18. The Fribourg native, European U20 champion, is burning up the stages and getting even closer to the best "elite" athletes.
