Ivana Spanovic(SRB) thought she had killed the contest with a great first jump at 6.90m. But Malaika Mihambo(GER) also jumped that distance on her last try. In the end it is the German who wins, thanks to her second best jump (6.70m against 6.62m for the Serbian). Triple jumper Caterine Ibargen (COL) takes third with 6.77m.

Gabrielle Thomas (USA) was very solid in her 200m. She won in 22"47 against Jamille Samuel (NED) in 22" 68 and Shericka Jackson (JAM) in 22 "84. Sarah Atcho (Lausanne-Sports) finished seventh in 23"16.

Superb contest with seven jumpers at 4.72m and over. The first three passed 4.82m and it was Katerina Stefanidi (GRE) who finally won on the number of attempts against Jennifer Suhr (USA) and Anzhelika Sidorova (ANA).

The Russian Sergey Shubenkov is currently hard to beat. With his 12"95 today, he has run for a third time under 13 seconds this season. Devon Allen (USA) is second in 13"29, one hundredth ahead of Pascal Martinot-Lagarde (FRA). The young Swiss Jason Joseph (LC Therwil) ran in 13"54.

The Russian jumper Danil Lysenko (ANA) reigned over the competition with his best performance of the season at 2.37m. Brandon Starc (AUS) and Jeron Robinson (USA) both crossed 2.29m.

The favourite Francine Niyonsaba (BDI) had to push hard to take the victory in 1'57"80. Her opponents followed very closely with 1'58"20 for Ajee Wilson (USA) and 1'58"38 for Habitam Halemu (ETH).

The new coating of the straight line of La Pontaise has kept all its promises! Marie-Josée Ta Lou (CIV) won in 10"90, ahead of Elaine Thompson (JAM) in 10" 99, Jenna Prandini (USA) in 11 "00, Daphne Schippers (NED) in 11" 02, and Mujinga Kambundji (ST Bern) who broke her Swiss record by four hundredths in 11.03, the same time as Murielle Ahouré (CIV). What a race!
21:02 | 5000m Men | Birhanu Balew beats the Ethiopiens and the Kenyans!
The classic battle between Kenya and Ethiopia was on the verge of turning largely to the advantage of the Ethiopians when a collision at 130m from the finish line allowed Birhanu Balew (BRN) to escape and win this 5000m in 13'01"09, the world’s best performance of the year! Behind, Selemon Barega (ETH) in 13'02" 67 and Abadi Hadis (ETH) in 13'03 "63 were also excellent. Julien Wanders (Stade Genève) finished his race in 13'36"24.
21:18 | 400m Hurdles Men | Abderrahman SambaOff Limits Again
Once again, Abderrahman Samba (QAT) showed the extent of his immense talent by mastering the 400m hurdles in 47"42. Only Karsten Warholm (NOR) seemed to be able to follow him, remaining in the end half-a-second behind (47 "95).

We were waiting for Caster Semenya (RSA), but it was not her day. Sifan Hassan (NED) tried everything to make the race as fast as possible and that was the case. At 100m from the finish, Laura Muir (GBR) seemed to have an advantage. That was without counting on the final surge of Shelby Houlihan (USA), who finally won in a fantastic time: 3'57 "34, world’s second best performance of the year and a meet record! Muir finishes second in 3'58"18, Hassan in 3'58"39 and Gudaf Tsegay (ETH) in 3'59"07.

The new American wave was devastating on the half lap. Noah Lyles clocked another fantastic time of 19"69, the best performance of the year, with compatriot Michael Norman running 19"88 and Alex Quinonez (ECU) finishing third in 20"88. Alex Wilson (Old Boys Basel) could not deliver a new feat.
21:48 | 4x100m Relay Women | The Swiss Team Imperial in 42"29 Sets a Swiss Record
The duel at the top between Germany, Holland and Switzerland turned to the advantage of the Swiss, who were absolutely furious over the entire lap. Ajla Del Ponte, Sarah Atcho, Mujinga Kambundji and Salome Kora broke the Swiss record by 21 hundredths in 42"29, the world’s third best performance of the year, with Germany still two tenths behind and Holland nearly half a second away.
