Having already won several Diamond League races over the years, and with the support of the legendary crowd at the Pontaise stadium, nothing is impossible. Other Swiss female athletes will also be competing with the objective to fight it out with the world’s best: Sarah Atcho in the 200m, Mujinga Kambundji in the 100m, Selina Büchel in the 800m, and of course, the 4x100m relay. In the technical events, Angelica Moser, the junior world champion, is busy making a name for herself among the seniors and will also be competing.
For the men, a high-quality line-up awaits, with the sensational Julien Wanders from Geneva in the 5’000m, who currently holds no less than 2 European road records and 1 world road record. As well as Kariem Hussein from Zurich who will make his long-awaited comeback in the 400m hurdles after a series of setbacks in 2018. Additionally, Alex Wilson will line-up for the 200m and Jason Joseph for the 110m hurdles.
Depending on the results from the early season, other Swiss athletes could be invited by the organisers to measure themselves against the world’s best on Friday, 5 July at the Pontaise.
