Five stars as ambassadors for Athletissima

Athletissima expands its support to the best athletes in the country, in exchange for their support to the meeting. The Diamond League's event in Lausanne is proud to be able to count on the services of two new representatives for 2021, the rising stars Ajla Del Ponte and Loïc Gasch.

Del Ponte is now one of the best sprinters in Europe, and Gasch was one of ten high jumpers in the world to have achieved 2m30 last year. At 26, after being held back for a long time by injuries, he is on the rise.

Del Ponte and Gasch join European 400m hurdles champion, Lea Sprunger, 2019 Swiss Sportswoman of the Year, Mujinga Kambundji and sprinter, Sarah Atcho, also an iconic figure in Swiss athletics.

These signings demonstrate the confidence that Athletissima has shown in the best athletes in the country during this difficult period for world sport. The support given will be invaluable to these athletes. In return, the athletes undertake to maintain a special relationship with the partners and sponsors of the meeting.

These athletes will also make themselves available for various promotional operations, particularly towards youth, and will ensure an active participation in the Swiss French Clubs’ Cup, and will compete at the meeting on 26 August 2021 at the Olympic stadium in Lausanne.
