The American Quincy Hall, with an impressive finish, achieved the 5th fastest time in history in Paris with 43.40 seconds, narrowly beating the Briton Matthew Hudson-Smith, who broke the European record. Both men will meet again in Lausanne, as well as the impressive bronze medalist, Zambian Muzala Samukonga.
In the 1500m, the 2021 Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen (NOR), already announced for Lausanne, will face one of his "tormentors" from Paris, the new and surprising Olympic champion Cole Hocker (USA). The latter has run very few races in the Wanda Diamond League so far.
In the long jump, the Olympic silver medalist Wayne Pinnock (JAM) and bronze medalist Mattia Furlani (ITA) will once again compete against the Swiss star Simon Ehammer. The women's 800m also promises to be highly competitive, with Kenyan Mary Moraa, 3rd in Paris, American Athing Mu, and Briton Jemma Reekie, in addition to the Swiss athletes led by Rachel Pellaud and Audrey Werro.
Finally, in the pole vault at the City Event, the Greek Emmanouíl Karalís, 3rd in Paris, will compete against the fabulous Armand Duplantis and Sam Kendricks (both already announced).
