Away from the track since 2013 (injured), Jamaican athlete Yohan Blake has “trained hard” he says, to get back into shape, like in 2012. For reminder, he has the second worldwide best time with 19’’26 (2011) on 200m. “I think I’ll be in good shape July 3rd in Lausanne” he declared at the beginning of the month. And he confirmed this at his arrival at the hotel in Lausanne today. “I feel good. I’m going to enjoy running my 200m.” The 200m meeting record, is held by Usain Bolt in 19’’58 (2012).
Tomorrow, in Brazil, Switzerland will be playing against Argentina, in their first Football World Cup knockout game. His prognosis? “I know that the Swiss are strong. Their chances are good, but we’ll see.”
